Has the name Moses been found in the Proto-Sinaitic inscriptions of Serabit el-Khadim? The academic consensus is that these inscriptions, which comprise the world's oldest alphabetic script, were created by a Semitic people group living in Egypt.
Some scholars have gone beyond this though, believing the Semitic people group responsible for them is the Israelites, due the dating of the inscriptions possibly aligning with the time of the Israelite Sojourn and Exodus.
Could Moses, himself, have been responsible for some of these incredible etchings in the Sinai mines and what does this mean for the historical credibility of the Bible?
